Ballantine Beer and Ale breweriana auctions
Originally founded by Scottish emigrant Peter Ballantine in 1840 at Newark, New Jersey. The Breweries first name was Peterson and Ballantine Brewing Co. Peter Ballantine died in 1883. The company then passed to each of his three sons until 1905 when the last of them died. The brewery was then taken over by Griswold Frelinghuysen (Husband of Peter Ballantine's granddaughter and vice president of the company).
